As Manager of Scholar Programs, Rachel feels honored to help students process what they’re learning through their college experience by navigating both the details and the big picture goals of their experiences and plans.
Rachel grew up in Colorado and Iowa but came to Minnesota to study at Bethel University for a degree in TESL. Undergrad is where she fell in love with the college experience because it was where she learned the value of curiosity by being around some inspiringly curious people!
After college, Rachel spent some time teaching internationally and then went on to get her MA in Higher Education while working as a Resident Director. Most recently, she has experience helping college students plan and process how their college experience can best transfer to a fulfilling professional life in her role in Bethel’s Career Office. Throughout her time working with college students, Rachel has developed a passion for understanding the nuances around how students develop spaces of belonging within their campus communities.
Rachel lives in Minneapolis with her family and stays pretty busy exploring the city with them. She also enjoys playing games, reading, gardening, biking, making things, and keeping up with good Netflix shows or podcasts!
