EQUITY & INCLUSION
Equity means everyone.

Working to promote equity in education is an essential component of the work of Wallin Education Partners and is key to building a better future. We focus on creating equitable outcomes for every one of our scholars. We serve a diverse and expanding community including Black, Latinx, Indigenous, AAPI, and multi-racial scholars.

We believe racism has no place in education. Wallin Education Partners is fully committed to do our part to eliminate systemic racism in our community. We do this in part by continuing to center our scholars, their experiences, their needs, and their journeys as we build a more equitable world.

OUR COMMUNITY
Equity impacts everything.

Picture
Economic Scarcity

We believe economic barriers and inequalities should have no say in our students' futures.
Picture
Racial Disparity

We believe systemic racism has no place in education or in our community.
Picture
Social Isolation

We believe students should never feel isolated or unsupported while pursuing an education.

OUR ORGANIZATION
Equity begins with all of us.

Equity is central to who we are as an organization. Since its founding, Wallin has focused on increasing access and success in college for students from low-income backgrounds. This central pillar of our work is even more important today as barriers continue to disproportionately affect marginalized communities.

As a team, we are committed to being an anti-racist organization. We focus on building equity in our communtiy and being an equitable partner ourselves. We have accelerated our efforts to build a diverse, and inclusive culture. As an organization, our equity work centers on three key actions: learning, including, and serving.

Including

Building more equitable communities requires an inclusive team and culture. We are committed to including and supporting our diverse community, staff, leadership, and board.

Nearly a third of our staff are former Wallin scholars.

Serving

Advancing equity in our world begins with advancing opportunity in education. We are committed to serving scholars with the financial aid, advising, and access they need to rise.

91% of Wallin Scholars graduate college with a four-year degree.

OUR RESULTS
Equity is a future where we all rise.

Year after year, we are closing the achievement gap between scholars of color and white scholars. By providing financial aid, individualized advising, and expanded access, we are creating a future where every scholar can rise.
