Pakhoua Vang (Pa-Hoo-A-Vang) is a first-generation college student who is eager and excited to be working with Wallin Scholars as a Scholar Advisor. During Pakhoua's undergraduate experience, Pakhoua studied abroad in South Korea for a year to figure out what she wanted to do as a career. Upon her return, Pakhoua decided her career path would lead her into Student Affairs, so she individually designed her undergraduate major in International Studies (focus in Korean culture) and minor in Hmong Studies from Concordia University - St. Paul. After completing her undergraduate degree, Pakhoua took a year off from school and then went back to complete her MA in Leadership in Student Affairs from the University of St. Thomas. Throughout her graduate experience, Pakhoua has gained insights and hands-on experience in Student Life, Career Development, Study Abroad, Enrollment Services, grant writing, and more. These experiences inspired Pakhoua to work at Wallin Education Partners, where she can share her insights and experiences with all Scholars. During the summer, spring, and fall, Pakhoua and her children enjoy taking walks around the yard and parks. When Pakhoua has time away from her children, she enjoys catching up on movies, such as Disney and Pixar. Pakhoua Vang serves as a 4-Year Scholar AdvisorComments are closed.
