Cathryn Baker

Cathryn Baker is a former Wallin Scholar who joined the Wallin Alumni Board in 2017. She served as President from 2018-2019, and Past-President in 2020. She established an operating structure for the board, cultivated a strong alumni board team, and developed a robust portfolio of outreach and engagement initiatives. She continues to serve the alumni board as a Strategic Advisor.

Cathryn is a graduate of the University of Saint Thomas Aquinas where she majored in public relations before starting her career in corporate communications with Target Corporation. As an award-winning communicator, she has more than 15 years of experience as a strategist leading high profile communications projects. FedEx, 3M, Southwest Airlines, Yum Brands are some of the companies where Cathryn has had notable achievements as a communications professional. Today, she leads and drives the employee and executive communications strategy for 3300 employees in the Product, Tech, and Engineering functions at Indeed.

She previously served as Vice President board member for the Dallas and Minnesota International Association of Business Communicators where she is a three-time Quill Award recipient.
