Selena Rios-Cortez

Selena plays a supporting role in the development of Wallin’s organization. She graduated from Moorhead State University with a Bachelor’s in animation and a minor in graphics communication. Selena has been through quite the journey in her career from customer service, museum assistant, to freelance artist (a career chameleon almost). She always had a passion for education and wanted more out of her career path, while giving back to her community. She herself may have not been a Wallin Scholar, but her partner was. She saw firsthand how life changing this scholarship can be and wanted to get involved in the organization somehow. Selena is excited for the opportunity to help students achieve their dreams by contributing to their unique journeys.

In her free time, Selena is a dance fitness instructor and loves to spend quality time with her partner and their huge puppy. She is also working on a comic about her crazy life.
