Liz has extensive experience working with students from a wide range of ages and backgrounds and has spent a large portion of her career working to improve the representation of students from disadvantaged backgrounds on college campuses and in the workforce. Having spent over 20 years attending and working in large urban schools and college campuses, Liz has experienced the inequalities often associated with public education and is dedicated to promoting and supporting education for all students. Liz is knowledgeable about the challenges that arise in navigating a campus for the first time and is committed to holistically supporting scholars through their experiences.
Prior to joining Wallin Education Partners, Liz worked as a Secondary Science Teacher in the Milwaukee Public Schools. Upon moving back to Minneapolis, she worked with University of Minnesota Extension as a Science Teacher and coordinated a science enrichment program for secondary students who are traditionally underrepresented in STEM fields. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Liz can often be found running, biking, or skiing on the trails of Minneapolis in preparation for triathlons or other races. She and her husband have two young boys, and love to watch them play, learn, and explore.
