Jo completed her bachelor’s degree in Social Work and American Racial & Multicultural Studies at St. Olaf College and her master’s degree in Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. Throughout both programs, she maintained a focus on educational equity and community development, working in various capacities with numerous college access organizations and initiatives. Following graduate school, Jo served in a temporary role as Academic Advisor at Des Moines Area Community College; she then went on to work as a Residence Director at both DePaul University and the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities before joining Wallin Education Partners.
Outside of work, Jo spends a significant amount of time training for competitions in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting. She also enjoys baking, eating (especially desserts), playing games, keeping up with a few select TV series, and spending time with family.
