Jess Castellanos has spent the last 4 years working in higher education supporting low-income students and first-generation students. As someone who identifies as a low-income first generation student, Jess graduated from Mankato State University with my BA in Spanish and a creative writing minor. She continued on to obtain her Master’s degree from Mankato State in Student Affairs because she knew her passion was to assist college students with their own college journeys. Furthermore, she is passionate about social justice, diversity, and expanding her wealth of knowledge. She loves the work she does and is excited to continue doing so with Wallin!
Outside of work life, Jess has a small chocolate covered strawberries business that she enjoys during her free time. In addition, she enjoys long walks around the lake, reading books, discussing movies, hiking, and being active as much as she can in the summers. Last but not least, she loves spending time with friends and family.
