Individuals and family foundations were the first additional donors to join Wallin Education Partners, whose original funding was provided by the Wallin Foundation. Individual donor partners are matched with selected scholars based on donor preferences. Donors may express a preference to fund students from a particular high school, students interested in a specific field of study, or some other criteria. Donor partners receive status reports about their students twice per year from Wallin Education Partners and have the opportunity to meet their scholars at a high school celebration, at college or university receptions, and on other occasions. Our donors are kept apprised of the performance of their scholars throughout the year. The level of personal interaction with students is determined by each individual donor partner based on their level of interest and comfort. |
