Becoming a donor partner with our organization is an opportunity to transform lives. These partnerships help low- to middle-income students attain college degrees, thereby creating a positive impact on the economy and improving the quality of life for our communities and our state. Many of our graduates continue the tradition of service to the community and give back to others as their donors have given to them.
Wallin Education Partners manages advising and administrative responsibilities for each scholarship. On behalf of donors, we handle the process from student application to graduation, including scholar selection, scholar orientation meetings, scholarship distribution, interfacing with colleges, tracking of students’ academic progress, and providing guidance and academic services to students as needed. Donor partners are assured that their scholarship recipients have a better chance of earning their degree as part of our program.
Value to Donors
Additional value to our donors includes:
- Return on Investment. College graduates will earn about 66% more over their working life than high school graduates; are more likely to volunteer, vote, be healthy, and have healthy children prepared for school; and are less likely to be unemployed or require public assistance.
- Recognition through ‘Named’ Scholarships. ‘Named’ scholarships not only publicly recognize donors for their participation but also provide a high level of motivation to students, who get to know their donors and feel accountable to them.
- Workforce Development. Corporations are encouraged to provide mentors and internships for their students, and corporate sponsors who eventually hire their scholars can enhance the diversity and quality of their workforce.
- Insight Into Individual Lives. Donors have the unique opportunity to follow and participate in a student’s journey. Advisors regularly provide information to donors about the progress of their students, providing a bridge from statistics to real people.
- Other Benefits. Other benefits to donors include a tax-deductible donation, donor and student recognition events, student performance reports, direct communications with scholars (if desired) and more.
