A former Wallin Scholar and past Intern, Thouni now serves as a member of the organization’s Operations team. She was recruited back to Wallin Education Partners (and the country, as she was working in Laos at the time) in 2010.

At the University of Minnesota, she majored in Global Studies with a focus on the Southeast Asian Political Economy, Thouni was the Operations Officer for a non-profit working in Laos to build and run schools and to bring clean water to remote villages. She brings many of the skills she developed while in Laos to Wallin Education Partners.

Thouni helps manage student data and reporting, assists with web site development and updates, does graphic design work and provides administrative support. Thouni is still involved in Southeast Asia; each year she co-coordinates and participates in the Angkor Bike Race and Ride fundraiser in Cambodia. When not in the office, Thouni enjoys the outdoors – playing golf, tennis, bike riding and running. She just completed the Twin Cities Marathon.
